Sizing Advice

At Dickies Suit Hire, we understand just how important it is to be looking your very best at your wedding or special event, so we will go that extra yard to make sure that if you hire a suit from us then it fits properly so you are looking your best whenever you wear it. The guidelines below will help you decide what fit and size is best for you, though, we will always help you make sure you get the sizes you need.

Kilt Hire

When measuring for the proper kilt length, you should kneel and have someone take a measurement in line with your naval down to the floor, as kilts should always be worn to the middle of the kneecap. This will often result in a kilt waist size which is slightly larger than your normal trouser waist size, but don\’t worry, this is normal!

Jackets

We have jacket sizes available from 34″ to 60″ chest and can often get extra large sizes if required. Jacket arm lengths are from extra short to extra long. Measure around the broadest part of your chest. We also cater for boys from size 18″ to 32″ and can help you with page boy outfits.

Shirts

Many of our shirts are available from 14″ to 22″ collar size and we have extra long arm length in some styles. We also cater for boys from sizes 8 to 14.

Trousers

Many of our ranges have trousers available from 24″ to 60″ waist, with inside leg from 26″ to 37″. Junior leg lengths comes in 2 inch drops.

Shoes

Our range of hire shoes start at UK size 5 to size 13.
